PNP – PO2 NEIL PEREZ – PAMBATO NG PINAS OFF TO KOREA!

Current Mister International Philippines titleholder, Neil Perez is set to leave for Korea this week to compete in the Mister International pageant –the premier international male pageant that showcases the image of distinguished gentlemen representing different countries from all over the world.

Send Off party presented by Teceruma Spa and Salon was held in One Esplanade at SM Mall of Asia Complex last January 27, 2014.  The event was well attended by Neil’s well wishers including his family, PEPPs Foundation family, sponsors, members of the press from tv, print and online and supporters.

Neil Perez, a policeman who rose to popularity after winning the local Mister International Philippines title of the annual Misters of the Philippines search, aims to win the first title for the Philippines. In 2013, Philippine representative Gil Wagas placed 4th Runner-up in the competition.

PEPPs Foundation personally chose the “PNP” campaign slogan as a support to our MEN IN UNIFORM for their hardships and sacrifices especially to those who died in Mindanao. PNP stands for Pambato Ng Pinas and Philippine National Police.

Police Officer Neil Perez said that he is dedicating his work in the pageant to his comrades from the Special Action Force, who died during a violent clash in Maguindanao on Sunday, January 25 and wishing for a peaceful solution in Mindanao.

In the past months, Perez has undergone rigorous preparations in order to be on top shape in time for the finals slated for February 12, 2015. “The Mister International Pageant encourages total health and fitness that’s why I made sure that I workout regularly and eat smart,”Perez explained. Apart from that, Perez polished his dressing and grooming skills and have been doing TV and public appearances. “The Mister International Pageant is all about being a total gentleman and Neil has been determined and passionate about his preparations in order to represent the Philippines in the best possible light in the pageant,” says Carlo Morris Galang, one of the main proponents behind the Misters of the Philippines contest. Prior to the finals, Neil will be participating in various pre-pageant activities and preliminary competitions, which has been spread over 2 weeks. “I will do my best to win the title. This is one way of serving my country and bring honor to our Filipino countrymen.”

Mister International is an annual male beauty pageant founded in 2006. It is owned and organized by the Mister International Organization which also organizes the annual Mister Singapore pageant. Since the first edition, 72 countries have sent their representative to this contest, with an annual average of 31 contestants. The current Mister International is José Anmer Paredes of Venezuela. Past winners include:  2006 Wissam Hanna (Lebanon), 2007 Alan Martini (Brazil), 2008 Ngo Tien Doan (Vietnam), 2009 Bruno Kettels (Bolivia), 2010 Ryan Terry (Great Britain), 2011 Cesar Curti (Brazil), and  2012 Ali Hammoud (Lebanon).

During the press conference send off, Neil also revealed that he preferred to have interpreter. Aski Pascual, photographer for the duration of Mister International will also be his interpreter in Korea during the finals.
