PHL’s Marisse Mendoza Is the New Miss Campus World, William De Dios Placed Second in Mister Campus World in Malaysia!

Philippine bets to Mister and Miss campus World win big in Malaysia in one of the largest pageants in the world that promotes education and friendship.  Maria Isabelle ‘Marisse’ Zaragoza Mendoza  or simple Marisse to her friends of Longos, Malabon and native of Narvacan, Ilocos Sur was proclaimed new Miss Campus World International in a glittering coronation night in Malaysia’s capital, Kuala Lumphur. Marisse is a 19 year old student from San Beda College and expected to be back in the country by tomorrow morning.

On the other hand, our male bet – William de Dios almost made it a twin title for the Philippines when he placed 1st runner up to eventual winner – Ian Chua of Singapore. Eighteen dynamic young students from around the world participated in the largest contest for Campus personalities. Malaysia’s Tsai Wee Gan got the 2nd runner up honor.William’s Igorot-inspired National Costume designed by Dennis Celestial won for him the Best in National Costume award.

Gurnesh Dhillon of Malaysia was Mendoza’s 1st runner up while Singapore’s Novell Tan completed the magic three. Marisse and Ian will be spending their reign to promote education and friendship among participating countries. 

The Philippines’ participation in the contest was made possible by Alan Sim, President of Mister International and Mister Singapore contests.

Marisse nailed the Q and A with this answer: “A person should show and maintain his values and culture and at the same time try not to be offensive to others as they have their own culture and religion. Respect other people so can also get respect from them.” She was asked about the things that she will do and wont do.

The pageant was organized by Adelicious Entertainment headed by Adrian Winson and it’s headquarters in Malaysia. Winson is also the person behind Mister International Malaysia, Miss Malaysia South East Asian, Malaysia Calendar Model and Miss Asia Pacific World Malaysia.
