First, it was “Miss Philippines-Water” Muriel Orais in 2011 followed by the beauteous Rohama Rearte in 2012. Now, its Chelsea Starling’s turn to shine as the “New Face of OLIVE C” along with her male counterpart, Joefel Alas. Together, they will be known as Olive C soap’s latest brand ambassadors and their massive posters and tarpaulins will be splashed nationwide soon. The duo will be extremely promoted by CREWorks-Asia as newest endorsers and as early as now, schedules have been mapped out for Chelsea and Joefel like photo shoots, media rounds and out of town trips.
Chelsea, a 15-year old stunner from Binangonan, Rizal averred that Mr & Ms Olive C has been her first ever attempt to join a modeling contest and that she is glad to have clinched the prestigious crown. She was chosen from a bevy of equally gorgeous contenders due to her striking beauty, model stance and smooth skin, “Initially, I was super nervous because Olive C is a nationwide search and I knew I’d be up against college students who have probably joined countless pageants already. But through prayers and support from my family, I made it through. I’d like to thank my friends, classmates and teachers for supporting me all the way. Of course, to Olive C owner Sir Jim Acosta for trusting me as his product endorser,” quipped Chelsea.
Joefel, on the other hand, keeps himself busy with modeling gigs in Davao City to promote Olive C products. Recently, he appeared as celebrity guest in a colorful fashion show in his hometown. He wowed the audience with his boyish charm together with other CREWorks-Asia models. In between his studies at Holy Cross of Davao College, Joefel is equally elated to have been chosen as “Mr. Olive C” grand winner. Both of them will visit Baguio City on February 23 for the usual radio tour. Last Thursday (February 21), both were formally introduced to print and broadcast media at a dinner press conference tendered by Jim Acosta. Chelsea and Joefel expressed themselves confidently to think that it was their first time to be scrutinized by the press.
He was surprised how naughty and tactless asked him contoversial questions. But he managed to handle all with sincerity and honesty. He was asked if he was getting any indecent proposals. “I’m receiving some messages thru social networking but I don’t mind them since I stand for what I’m believing.” He also added that he is proud about his father even they just living in a simple life. His studies and Olive C endorser are his priorities for now.
Acosta is satisfied with his current image models and even plans of bringing them abroad to promote OLIVE C soap to Overseas Filipino Workers, “I am very happy with our current teen endorsers and I’m confident that they will be of help to my company. After this presscon, we will have a photo shoot to be used for Olive C’s advertising and marketing campaign this 2013.”
“Mr & Ms Olive C” is an annual modeling search that continues to discover promising students who have what it takes to be product endorsers. Apart from Muriel and Rohama, their male counterparts have carved a name in local showbiz as well. 2011 Male grand winner Hiro Magalona got signed by GMA 7 as exclusive talent and now regularly appears on teen-oriented TV shows and German Moreno’s “Walang Tulugan.” Jon Lucas, on the other hand, is a certified Kapamilya teen actor and currently appears in top-rating comedy series “Kahit Konting Pagtingin” aired on ABS-CBN. He essays the role of Angeline Quinto’s younger brother in the said primetime teleserye. Mr & Ms Olive C Campus Model Search is an annual event staged by the no. 1 soap for teens, Olive C. It comes in three effective variants (Olive C with Olive Milk, Olive C with Papaya Extract and Olive C Family Bath Soap). Since its inception in 2011, teenagers have become aware of the search vis-a-vis the best-selling product. No wonder, it has become a byword among active teens in a span of only three years. When you say Olive C, it is synonymous to said modeling search and vice versa. Indeed, as OLIVE C tagline suggests, “Stardom begins with pimple-free and blemish-free complexion.” With previous winners track record of consistently making into stardom after winning the Olive C title, this years winners would have no exemption. Goodluck Joefel and Chelsea!
