Jessie Bayudang Assumes The Title of Mister Philippines 2012!
Pageant pundits favorite Jessie Bayudang is now performing the duties of Mister Philippines 2012 after Mark Gutoman left the country for a better opportunities abroad. According to Mister Philippines page ” Mark John Gutoman/Marikina City went to work abroad for the benefit of his family.”
Jessie will now temporarily assume the responsibilities of the new Mister Philippines but MP organization wants to clear that Mark was not dethroned.
It’s not yet clear if Mark will be back in the country for the next edition of Mister Philippines. Mark represented the country in Mister International 2012 last November in Bangkok, Thailand.
What confuses us is the the message of Jessie to everyone: ” I am NOT taking over the title of MISTER PHILIPPINES 2012 or any of the duties that come along with the title. Mark Gutoman which is out of the country is still the Mister Philippines 2012. I will also leaving the country sooner to look for greener pasture and fulfill my dreams as a professional nurse. Therefore I cannot assume the responsibilities of the pose. I wish Mister Philippines Inc. all the best in their future endeavors.”
Who will assume the duties of Mister Philippines? Will it be Kevin Raqueno? Just kidding 😉
It’s always the responsibility of the runner up to take over in case the winner cannot fulfill their duties, but I think Jessie gave his stand regarding the duties and responsibilities and gave enough reason why he is declining the enthronement.
I still remember the story about Miss World 1st runner up Evangeline Pascual not accepting the title when Marjorie Wallace was dethroned since the winner already got all the prizes and Vangie will just get the responsibilities but no more prizes.. there was also a version of story that it was not offered to her.
Anyways.. anyone among the 2012 runners up of Mister Philippines will be perfect or the title. Although I love to see Kevin wearing the Philippine sash and compete next year but I’m sure it’s not possible for now.
